December opens with $87.6m worth of share buybacks

SGX announced that for the first week of the month from 1 to 5 December, there were a total of 87,005,000 shares repurchased by 18 stocks with a total consideration of $87.6m.

As revealed by SGX, the five stocks with the largest consideration amount in buybacks last week were Genting Singapore PLC, OCBC, SATS, Pacific Century Regional Developments and Sembcorp Industries. This followed on from S$137 million in November.
