Customers islandwide were affected for over three hours.
Singtel’s mobile services were disrupted due to power-related issues that began at around 10 p.m. on 18 October, an announcement on the company’s social media site revealed.
“At 10:11 p.m. on 18 October, we detected issues with mobile voice and data services on our 3G/4G network,” Singtel apologised.
The outage lasted about three hours as customers experienced difficulties making calls and accessing the internet. Based on the 200 complaints commented on Singtel's Facebook page, areas that experienced service disruptions included Jurong, Ang Mo Kio, Woodlands and Potong Pasir.
Affected services were progressively restored starting 11:50 p.m. and as of 1:22 a.m. were completely restored, according to an update at 2 a.m. by the company.
However, service disruption complaints were still being reported as of 11:30 a.m..
