Singtel’s RE:AI, Mistral AI to scale AI across essential sectors

The partners target GPU-as-a-Service for finance, healthcare, and government.

Singtel Digital InfraCo’s sovereign artificial intelligence (AI) cloud business RE:AI and Mistral AI have signed a strategic partnership to develop AI infrastructure and applications across essential industries.

The agreement will allow enterprises to deploy solutions through Singtel’s data centre arm Nxera, which is developing AI-ready facilities in Singapore, Johor and Batam.

The sites will be interconnected via subsea cable links, the telco said in a press release.

The partners will co-develop AI infrastructure by integrating Mistral AI’s open-source stack — including training capabilities, foundation models, platforms and agentic workflows — with RE:AI’s GPU resources.

The infrastructure will support the rollout of multi-tenant GPU-as-a-Service and AI-as-a-Service offerings targeted at sectors such as financial services, defence, government shared services, and healthcare.

In addition, the two companies will develop horizontal AI solutions for deployment across industries, alongside sector-specific projects through Singtel Group operating companies focused on automation and analytics use cases.

A joint Applied AI Centre of Excellence will be established as an engineering hub involving Singtel, Mistral AI, and ecosystem partners.

The centre will focus on building secure AI environments within Singtel’s infrastructure and integrating tools, including Mistral AI Studio and Mistral Code.
