StarHub starts offering SmartSupport Basic phone protection packages

Replaces phones at cheaper monthly fees.

StarHub announced that customers who purchase a new phone (selected models) when they sign up for or renew their StarHub Mobile post-paid plan, can subscribe to SmartSupport Basic from as low as $6 per month.

SmartSupport Basic offers the device swop/ replacement service at a lower price point. Basic users can upgrade anytime to SmartSupport Plus and enjoy a suite of additional benefits by topping up $2 per month.

"SmartSupport is essentially a lifebuoy for phones, offering StarHub Mobile customers complete peace-of-mind," said StarHub.

SmartSupport Basic replaces an enrolled phone as soon as four hours within Singapore. The service is also available if the customer is overseas. It also provides for 2 service request within a 12-month period commencing from the first request. Replacement will cost a small fee.

Those who upgrade to SmartSupport Plus for additional monthly fees will unlock additional benefits including a dedicated hotline for users to seek remote technical help. SmartSupport Plus users also gain access to the SmartSupport app and web portal, which provides secure cloud-based phone data backup and recovery service, remote lock and/or wipe and a mobile anti-virus scanner.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
