COE quota for August 2013-January 2014 up 8% to 20,825

Here are 3 considerations.

According to Land Transport Authority, the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for the period August 2013 to January 2014 will be 20,825. Bidding under this quota will start with the August 2013 First Open Bidding Exercise. The quota is 8% higher than the previous period which was set at 19,263.

The COE quota consists of provision for 0.5% vehicle growth based on the vehicle population as at 31 December 2012; replacement COEs for vehicles de-registered between January and June 2013; and adjustments for change in taxi population, expired COEs and over-projections of vehicle de-registrations in 2008/2009.

The next COE quota announcement for the COE bidding period from February 2014 to July 2014 will be made in January 2014.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
