COE quota for May-July jumped to 12,060

Check out these three provisions.

The Land Transport Authority has announced that the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for May to July 2014 will be 12,060. That's a 32% increase from the previous monthly quota. Bidding under this quota will start with the first COE bidding exercise in May 2014.

The COE quota consists of 1) provision for 0.5% per annum vehicle growth based on the vehicle population as at 31 December 2013; 2) replacement COEs for vehicles de-registered from January to March 2014; and 3) adjustments for changes in the taxi population, expired COEs and over-projection of vehicle de-registrations in 2008/2009.

The next quota announcement for the bidding period of August to October 2014 will be made in July 2014.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
