ComfortDelGro and Pony.ai ink MoU on global robotaxi deployment

The partners will co-develop tailored safe and sustainable autonomous vehicle (AV) solutions.

ComfortDelGro and Pony.ai have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deploy large-scale commercial robotaxi operations.

The partnership aims to co-develop tailored safe and sustainable autonomous vehicle (AV) solutions for future deployment in different international markets.

ComfortDelGro has an extensive taxi network of over 29,000 vehicles worldwide whilst Pony.ai offers autonomous driving solutions deployed in China's Tier-1 cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

The collaboration builds on ComfortDelGro’s growth strategy, following the company’s $30m Autonomous Vehicle Centre of Excellence (AV CoE) launched in 2022.

It is also part of Pony.ai’s global expansion, with deals in South Korea, Luxembourg, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
