New Jurong Town Hall Bus Interchange opens November 26

In tandem with the opening, LTA will also introduce a new bus service.

The Jurong Town Hall Bus Interchange (JTHBI) will officially open on 26 November, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced.

The bus interchange, located along Venture Drive, connects Jurong East MRT and Jurong East Bus Interchange via additional covered linkways and a pedestrian overhead bridge.

JTHBI will offer barrier-free access and entrances and a dedicated priority queue zone with seating at all boarding berths.

It will also offer wheelchair-accessible toilets, a changing room, a baby care room, and a commuter care room.

The facilities are equipped with auto-sliding doors operated by touchless sensors with audio cues to alert when the doors are opening and closing.

JTHBI will also provide dedicated staff toilets, a cleaner's room, and a staff lounge.

In tandem with the opening of JTHBI, LTA will also introduce a new bus service that will connect residents in Tengah New Town to Jurong East Town Centre.

Service 870 will ply areas such as Jurong East Central and Bukit Batok West Avenues 3 and 6.
