OKP bags $100.3m LTA contract for commuter infrastructure enhancement
The contract involves the construction of covered linkways at new MRT stations.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) awarded mainboard-listed OKP Holdings a four-year contract worth $100.3m for commuter infrastructure enhancement works at new MRT stations.
Under the contract, OKP will construct covered linkways and cycling paths at new MRT stations along the new Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), Circle Line 6 extension (CCL6), North East Line extension (NELe), and Downtown Line (DTL).
Or Kim Peow (OKP) Contractor (Private) Limited will also be involved in the implementation of covered linkways at various locations island-wide.
Other associated works which are part of the contract include Priority Queue Zones (PQZ) for boarding berths and end-on berths at existing Bus Interchanges, Integrated Transport Hubs and Bus Terminals, as well as 4-seater stainless steel benches and associated works for installation at existing Bus Interchanges.
The contract commenced on 28 October and will be completed by 4th quarter of 2026.
