The Postman kicks off $10m fund for low-wage staff

It will be disbursed over 5 years.

According to a release, SingPost, in consultation with the Union of Telecoms Employees of Singapore (UTES), is setting up a S$10M Inclusivity Fund to benefit its lower income staff.

The Fund will be disbursed over 5 years. The bulk of the SingPost Inclusivity Fund (SPIF) or over 70% will be dedicated to helping its lower income staff cope with the rising cost of living.

This will be through the introduction of a slew of new incentives/schemes or the enhancement of existing programmes.

The remaining sum will go towards two other areas namely, their training and development to cope with a changing economy as well as to help with staff’s school-
going children.

Over 70% of its staff in Singapore will benefit from this Fund to help them cope with their living expenses.

Additionally, some of these staff will reap benefits in the longer term as the company commits to help them with their school-going kids.

Besides financial support for good academic performance, SingPost will also help children of staff who excel in sports or the arts.
