Noble Group to expand in India and China

The company is exploring not only Asia but businesses like clean fuels and vegetable oils.

A Reuters report quoted Chief Executive Ricardo Leiman as saying, "We are not a one-country or one-region company. We are a global player. We are looking for additional opportunities in Asia as we progress."

He pointed out that despite economic challenges, there will be no shortage of demand for their products as long as the world income continues to grow.

The company is said to be awaiting approval from forest and environment authorities in India for a 10 million-tonne iron ore terminal that will be ready in 24 months once the clearance is obtained.

Meanwhile in China it has vegetable oil refining capability, and Noble is also doubling the capacity of its sunflower seed crushing plant in Ukraine.
