China Shenshan Orchard names Ngo Yit Sung as independent director

The announcement follows the resignation of Zhang Lei.

China Shenshan Orchard Holdings has appointed Ngo Yit Sung as its independent director, effective 1 October, following the resignation of Zhang Lei.

Ngo will also replace Zhang as a member of the company's audit, nominating, and remuneration committees.

According to a separate filing, Zhang has stepped down to "devote more time to her other work and business commitments."

Ngo is currently the executive director of Eneco Energy Limited and an independent director of World Precision Machinery Limited. He has previously held various leadership roles, including at TOTM Technologies Limited and Sino-Lion Communications Pte. Ltd.

He holds a doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical (Mechatronics) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
