Olam Agri inducts 8 new members to its board

The new members will sit across four of Olam Agri’s board committees.

Olam Agri welcomed eight new members to its board of directors.

The new board members are Serge François Schoen, Hixonia Nyasulu, Eng Chin Chin, Pierre Lorinet, Jenifer Thien, Sulaiman AlRumaih, Anuj Maheshwari, and Sunny George Verghese.

In a bourse filing, the company said all eight members will sit across its board committees, namely Governance, Nomination, Talent & Remuneration Committee, the Audit & Compliance Committee, the Risk & Market Compliance Committee, and the Sustainability Committee.

Verghese will take on the role of Group CEO and Executive Director of Olam Group and Olam Agri and Member of the Risk & Market Compliance and Sustainability committees.

Meanwhile, Schoen will serve as the chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as chairman of the  Governance, Nomination, Talent & Remuneration committee.

Below are the roles of the other new members:

  • Nyasulu: Vice-chair of the Board of Directors and chair of the Sustainability Committee and Member of the Governance, Nomination, Talent & Remuneration and Audit & Compliance committees
  • Chin Chin: Chair of the Audit & Compliance Committee and member of the Risk & Market Compliance Committee
  • Lorinet: chairman of the Risk & Market Compliance committee and member of the Governance, Nomination, Talent & Remuneration and Audit & Compliance committees
  • Thien: Member of Audit & Compliance and Sustainability committees
  • AlRumaih: Member of the Governance, Nomination, Talent & Remuneration and Sustainability committees
  • Maheshwari: Member of the Governance, Nomination, Talent & Remuneration committee.
