Olam Group profit surges 573.2% in H1
Revenue for the period rose 49.9% to $15.3b.
Olam Group reported a PATMI of $323.8m for the first half of 2025, up 573.2% year-on-year.
The group’s revenue also grew 49.9% to $15.3b.
Following the proposed sale of its remaining 64.57% stake in Olam Agri to SALIC, the group has allocated US$2b to reduce debt and strengthen its balance sheet, completed a US$500m equity injection into ofi to support strategic initiatives, and announced the sale of its 32.4% stake in ARISE P&L for US$175m, expected to close in 2025.
Core PATMI, excluding one-off items, rose to $327.1m on improved performance from ofi and the Remaining Olam Group.
Free cash flow to equity improved to negative $945.3m, compared with negative $5.4b in H1 2024, and net gearing increased slightly to 2.83 times from 2.60 times a year earlier.
Ofi has secured US$2.45b in loans, whilst Olam Agri has secured US$3.85b for refinancing existing loans and general corporate purposes.
