Olam's ofi obtains a $425.6m samurai loan

The facility consists of a three-year tranche.
 
Olam Group Limited's unit, olam food ingredients (ofi), obtained a JPY46.5b ($425.6m) medium-term samurai loan facility.

In a bourse filing, Olam said the facility consists of a three-year tranche amounting to JPY46.5b ($425.6m).

The facility is currently guaranteed by Olam Group Limited, with plans to transfer the guarantee to ofi following its intended IPO and demerger.

Ofi will use the funds from the facility to refinance its existing loans and for general corporate purposes.
