Here's what Tiger Airways is boasting about

Tiger Singapore's passenger carriage finally edged up 16%.

In a release, traffic (measured in revenue passenger-kilometres) grew in tandem with capacity at 7% y-o-y. As a result, passenger load factor remained unchanged at 79%. Tiger Singapore began operations to Hyderabad during the month.

For the 12 months to September 2012, Tiger Singapore carried 4.0 million passengers, an increase of 16% y-o-y. Load factor for the 12 months to September 2012 was down 3 percentage points (ppt) to 81% as a result of the high capacity increase in the second half of FY11-12.

In September 2012, Tiger Australia carried 227,000 passengers. Passenger volume was higher compared to 69,000 passengers carried in the same period last year, but the airline was operating at a significantly reduced capacity and on a limited schedule in September 2011.

It has surpassed the pre-suspension level of 212,000 passengers carried in June 2011. Passenger load factor of 84% was 14 ppt higher y-o-y.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
