SIA cancels Dubai flights amidst Middle East conflict

Cancellations run from 28 February to 7 March.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced cancellation of flights SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore from 28 February to 7 March 2026 due to the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the carrier said in an advisory.

The airline said the situation remains fluid and other SIA flights may be affected, and customers may visit SIA’s Flight Status page for the latest information.

Customers affected by the cancellations will be accommodated on alternative flights or can seek a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket. Customers who booked directly with SIA may use the Assistance Request Form to seek a refund, whilst those who booked through travel agents or partner airlines are advised to contact their travel agent or purchasing airline directly for assistance.

Customers are strongly advised to update their contact details via the ‘Manage Booking’ function on SIA’s website or subscribe to a mobile notification service to receive updates to their flight status, and the airline apologised to affected customers for the inconvenience caused.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
