SIA ditches Ernst & Young, picks KPMG as new external auditor

EY has been on the job for 43 years.

Singapore Airlines today revealed that it will appoint KPMG LLP as its new external auditor.

KPMG will replace Ernst & Young LLP, which has served as SIA's external auditor for 43 years since 1972.

“KPMG LLP was selected for the proposed appointment after the Audit Committee invited and evaluated competitive proposals from various audit firms. the Company confirms that there were no disagreements with the outgoing Auditor, Ernst & Young LLP, on accounting treatments within the last 12 months,” SIA said in a letter to its shareholders.
