Singapore Airlines inks deal with Saudi Arabia’s new carrier 

This includes codeshare arrangements, frequent flyer programme and cargo services.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has established a strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s new carrier, Riyadh Air for enhanced connectivity and to offer better benefits to flyers.

The two airlines on 2 June signed a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of the 80th International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit in Dubai. 

Under the agreement, the two carriers will explore opportunities for interline connectivity on each other’s services and work on other commercial cooperations.

This includes codeshare arrangements, reciprocal benefits for their frequent flyer programme members, cargo services, customer experience as well as digital innovation for a deeper and long-term partnership.

The partnership could expand the access of Riyadh Air’s guests in SIA’s network in South East Asia and the South West Pacific region, and provide SIA’s customers greater access to the Middle East region through Riyadh Air’s network.

Riyadh Air is a new airline based in Saudi Arabia and is targeted to begin commercial operations in 2025.

This follows other partnerships that SIA had recently formed with other international carriers including Garuda Indonesia.
