Singapore Airlines ranks 14th in Asian monthly carrier performance

Only 82.92% of its flights were on time in March relative to better-performing Japanese and regional airlines.

J-Air topped the monthly rankings with 91.58% on time flights, which are described as flights taking off with less than 15 minutes delay. Japan Air muter and Hokkaido International Airlines rounded up the top three, according to a new report from FlightStats.

Regional fleets like IndiGo Airlines (9th), Korean Airlines (11th) and Bangkok Airways (12th) beat out Singapore Airlines with better on time percentages and less late flights. In contrast, Singapore Airlines had 11.60% late flights and 2.59% very late flights.

Late flights are those that run between 14-29 minutes late while very late flights run between 30-44 minutes late. The sample was based on 6,986 Singaproe Airlines flights.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
