Richz gains SBR National Business Awards for Technology

It was an outstanding performer in engineering solutions for GEM Grade diamonds Manufacturing Machines.

Richz Technology Singapore, one of the largest vacuum pump refurbishment centres in Southeast Asia, bagged the Singapore Business Review National Business Awards, Technology category for the company’s work in engineering solutions for GEM Grade diamonds Manufacturing Machines.

Kavin Ng, Richz founder, accepted the award for the winning project entry entitled “Project Sparkle,” on behalf of the company.

Richz’s services for refurbishing Vacuum Pumps are required at different stages of the IC value chain (silicon wafer manufacturing, IC wafer fab, IC testing and assembly) and across multiple industries, solar, LEDs, flat panel, heat treatment, etc). Currently, OEMs have their MRO facilities in Singapore. Richz is the largest alternate supplier and service provider for vacuum equipment MRO centre in South-East Asia with capabilities to service different brands of equipment. It is a one-stop shop for different brands of vacuum equipment.

Some key strategic advantages are having full access and control of supply and value chain - including material specifications, supplier selection, supplier evaluation, documentation of technical specifications, testing system and procedures using Richz's own monitoring system.

Since 2012, Richz has been in the business of designing, building, and manufacturing of lab growth diamond machines, though it has been in the innovative engineering and technological business since March 2003.

The company uses its state of the art MECVD (Microwave Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) technology to help customers produce lab grown GEM diamonds, compared with the conventional way of the high-pressure method to produce lab-grown diamonds. This technology is only limited globally, and Richz prides itself as the pioneer of this technology. The alternative Lab Growth Diamonds market size is estimated of US$27b by 2023.

The company has become one of the leading lab-grown diamond machine manufacturers using their state-of-the-art technology. Richz prides itself over a successful and proven production track record in the industry.

The SBR National Business Awards was held on June 8, 2017 at the Conrad Centennial Singapore.

This year's nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Ng Jiak See, executive director and head of corporate finance advisory at Deloitte Singapore & Southeast Asia; Choo Eng Chuan, ASEAN markets leader and partner, international and corporate tax services at Ernst & Young Solutions LLP; Toh Kim Teck, assurance partner at Foo Kon Tan LLP; and Henry Tan, managing director at NEXIA TS.
