Boustead Singapore bags $90m E&C contract in Malaysia
The contract involves the construction of a data center.
Boustead Singapore announced that its engineering and construction (E&C) business, under Boustead Projects’s (BP) has secured a $90m (MYR300m) E&C contract in Malaysia.
The contract was secured under BP’s subsidiary, BPX. It involves the building of a four-storey data center, an adjacent two-storey substation, and a pumphouse with cooling systems.
This marks BP’s first data center project in Malaysia. The project is expected to be completed by the end of FY2026.
The contract brought BP’s order backlog to $141m and the Boustead Group’s engineering order backlog to $248m.
“Though Singapore is still our home ground, we will continue to expand our presence in key overseas markets through pursuing and securing high-value added contracts, building on our track record as a real estate solutions provider in the industrial space,” Thomas Chu, managing director of Boustead Singapore’s E&C business said.
