KTC Civil Engineering bags $590m contract for CR19 Jurong Lake District station

It will begin construction work in the fourth quarter of 2024.

KTC Civil Engineering & Construction clinched the $590m civil contract to design and construct CR19 Jurong Lake District station and tunnels under the Cross Island Line (CRL) Phase 2.

The company's past projects include the Tampines interchange station on the Downtown Line and Orchard Boulevard station on the TEL. Currently, it is involved in constructing CRL Maju station and TEL Sungei Bedok station.

The company will begin construction work in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) stated that building the CR19 Jurong Lake District station will involve deep excavation near the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).

“Before commencing excavation and construction of the station, earth retaining and stabilising structures will be installed to ensure safety and ground stability,” the LTA explained.
