OKP Holdings net profit attributable to equity holders slips 24.5% in 2024

Revenue for the year increased 13.3%

OKP Holdings reported a net profit attributable to equity holders of $33.7m for the financial year ending 31 December 2024, a slip of 24.5% compared to $44.6m from the same period a year before.

In H2 2024, OKP Holdings reported a net profit attributable to equity holders of $21.8m, a 142.7% increase from the same period last year. However, OKP Holdings reported a net profit of $12.1m in H1 2024, a 66.1% decrease from H1 2023, when it earned $35.8m

The company reported a $47.4m decline in Other (losses)/gains, swinging from a $46.9m gain in FY2023 to a $0.5m loss in FY2024. The decline was primarily due to the absence of a one-time $43.8m arbitral award recorded in the previous year, alongside a $7.8m drop in investment property fair value, lower government grants, and foreign exchange losses.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
