ST Engineering's aerospace arm clinches $1.1b worth of contracts in Q1

Services range from heavy airframe maintenance to component repair.

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering)'s aerospace arm secured new contracts in 1Q17 with a deal value of $1.1b.

The contracts are for services ranging from line and heavy airframe maintenance to component repair and overhaul. These include performance-based logistics operation and support for military aircraft, several components repair and overhaul agreements, and contracts for EcoPower engine wash services. Amongst these contracts are several multi-year renewal agreements.

For the past quarter, the aerospace sector redelivered a total of 836 aircraft for airframe maintenance and modification work. A total of 11,021 components, 65 landing gears and 38 engines were processed, while 2,292 engine washes were conducted.

Some notable events for ST Aerospace in the past quarter include expanding its maintenance, repair, and operations capacity in China. It has also expanded its capacity in Germany.
