Abbott wins Emerging Technology - Healthcare category at SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025

The company was recognised for the DigiCoach pilot programme, in partnership with Health Promotion Board and Health2Sync, which helps Singaporeans prevent and manage diabetes.

Abbott’s novel partnership with Health Promotion Board (HPB) and Health2Sync on the DigiCoach pilot programme triumphed at the SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025, underlining their pursuit of customer centricity, as a global healthcare company.

DigiCoach is a 12-week digital health coaching programme that aims to help individuals with pre-diabetes or high body mass index (BMI) prevent or delay the onset of diabetes by being more aware of how their daily actions impact their glucose levels.

The programme employs real-time feedback via Abbott’s continuous glucose monitoring technology, FreeStyle Libre, with timely automated nudges delivered through Health2Sync’s mobile application, to help participants understand how their glucose levels are affected by their diet and physical activity, reinforcing the importance of eating healthy and balanced meals and post-meal activity.

DigiCoach is available to Singapore citizens and permanent residents aged 21 and above, with pre-diabetes or a BMI of 23 or higher.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
