LKCMedicine honoured at Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2025
The Corporate Services team’s collaborative approach drives innovation, sustainability, and engagement across the school.
Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University Singapore won Team of the Year - Education in the Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2025. The award recognises the school’s Corporate Services team, which achieved remarkable results in innovation, community engagement, sustainability, workplace safety, and employee well-being.
Led by Chief Operating Officer Dr Serene Ng, the Corporate Services team comprises the heads of Communications, Plans and Governance, IT, Library, Operations and Facilities, Advancement, HR, Finance, and Procurement. Dr Ng emphasised that it was teamwork and collaboration that brought about impact and excellence at the institution. Amongst the highlights in the past year, the team completed a major technology refresh across LKCMedicine’s dual campus, enabling hybrid learning for students and enhancing the delivery of administrative and research support.
Beyond its academic mission, the team also made a significant community impact through the Art and Science of Medicine Festival (ASMF), which drew about 5,000 attendees in 2024. The Corporate Services Division also strengthened the school’s commitment to workplace safety and sustainability. It embedded a robust health and safety culture across both campuses.
In preparation for the school’s brand evolution in 2028, the team launched a rebranding exercise to articulate its forward-looking identity and renewed brand positioning. The initiative ensured that all stakeholders, both internal and external, clearly understood the school’s redefined identity and evolving vision that reflects a continued commitment to excellence in medical education and research.
Through its LKCMedicine Cares Committee, the team also advanced the school’s commitment to employee well-being, with initiatives promoting physical, mental, and social health. The committee fostered a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that encourages staff to thrive both professionally and personally.
