ARB BERHAD hailed as a winner at the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2020

The firm was lauded for its development of an Intelligent Pandemic Prevention Station.

Software development company ARB BERHAD has received the IoT - IT Services award in the recently concluded Malaysia Technology Excellence awards, presented by Singapore Business Review.

Now in its second year, the awards event honours enterprises that take risks and lead the charge in developing groundbreaking projects, digital services, reimagined strategies, and technological initiatives. Winners were judged on the basis of uniqueness and innovation, effectiveness and impact, and dynamism.

With the COVID-19 still widely spreading, ARB Group and its global partners are committed to foster collaborations, partnership, and the cross-pollination of ideas and innovations to directly combat the COVID-19. The company believes that its efforts to facilitate the fostering of science and technology would accelerate delivery of effective innovative products, services, and solutions to reduce and control the COVID-19 virus, or mitigate its social and business impacts.

Facemask and hand sanitizers are not enough to keep everyone safe. Thus, ARB developed a holistic solution and technology that aims to keep everyone safe, the ARB’s holistic Pandemic Prevention Solution.

This solution aims to address three key concerns, with the first addressing the entry point premises. With the intelligent pandemic prevention station coming into the place, it will help prevent the virus from spreading with face recognition, ID documenting, and contact tracing capabilities which are articulated by Artificial Intelligence.

Second concern is the air within the premises. The Pandemic Prevention Solution comes together with the air sanitizing humidifier called Goodair Sanz, that offers a simple, practical and cost effective approach to promoting a clean and odor free environment. It uses its deep reaching abilities to clean the air and eliminate odor using chlorine dioxide.

Besides that, it also can be used to sanitize surfaces and rooms, repel and kill mosquitoes, disinfect and kill bacteria and viruses, sanitise hands, and other objects and to clean the air.

Lastly, it addresses the environment within premises. The continuous pandemic prevention is meant to keep the environment safe for a longer period. Traditionally, sanitizing exercise will only remove unwanted particles on the point of contact. Continuous prevention on the other hand will continue to disinfect and maintain cleanliness for a period of time.

ARB has a team of professionals to apply the disinfectant, monitor and maintain the cleanliness of surfaces within the premise’s environment.

The Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards, presented by Singapore Business Review, was held via video conferencing throughout the month of September.

This year’s nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Justin Ong, Partner and FSI Financial and Regulatory Risk Leader at Deloitte Asia Pacific; Alvin SH Gan, Executive Director, Partner, Head of IT enabled Transformation (ITeT) at KPMG Malaysia; Hari Iyer, Executive Director, Advisory at BDO Kuala Lumpur; Michael Lim Jr, Managing Director at Crowe Growth Consulting Sdn Bhd; Jade Leong, Partner, Advisory at Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd.
