Asia AeroTechnic flies high in Enterprise Software – Aerospace category

The firm’s in-house integrated Maintenance Reporting (iMR) system ensures seamless aviation-related operations.

In the competitive, complex, and strictly regulated aviation industry, companies need an enterprise software system that integrates all the processes needed to manage their business operations. Having observed the limitations of products offered by the aviation systems and solutions market, Asia AeroTechnic (AAT) has developed an in-house solution that meets 80% of requirements and 80%–90% utilisation. This solution, called integrated Maintenance Reporting (iMR) system, minimises time and cost involved while streamlining system processes, thereby improving daily operations. This system reduces the cost of ownership associated with a long implementation schedule. Due to this excellent project, the company has won the Malaysia Technology Excellence Award 2021 in Enterprise Software – Aerospace category.

Aerospace is a complex industry with heavy regulations to ensure safe air travel. Systems and solutions are necessary to ease this and new technologies or concept can be adopted to further enhance the aerospace industry on how the critical processes are being performed.

The features of the iMR system which focuses on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) – made to cover different areas and processes within an organisation, make the following advantages possible: automation; streamlining critical processes, rules, and conditions; addressing common tasks and removing duplicate processes; process reengineering; digital documentation and data availability, which enables easy digitalisation of tasks and removal of paperwork to reduce time spent on tasks/processes by 50% thus improves productivity; and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) methodologies such as digital duplex communication/feedback mechanism.

Through this innovative solution, the company had successfully solved one of the most critical elements in customer relation: Building Trust. Customers can view the work progress on their aircraft from remote station and thus provides sense of security and assurance to the customers and stake holders.

It is, in a nutshell, a system that prioritizes moving forward and to improve the effectiveness and value of the services offered and delivered.

Established in 2015 with the purpose to spearhead the commercial aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry in Malaysia. Since then AAT had received 7 awards amongst which; ‘Best Company’ and ‘Best Chief Executive Officer’ award by Ministry of Rural Development (KPLB) in 2016 and 2017 respectively, ‘Anugerah Inovasi Harapan’ and ‘Anugerah Kualiti dan Inovasi’ for our invention: iMR Integrated Maintenance Recording (Aviation) by both MARA and KPLB in 2018; AAT also had been awarded 'Best MRO Company-South East Asia' by Corporate Vision's Aviation & Aerospace Awards 2020 from the United Kingdom and The Best MRO Service Provider for Commercial Aviation by Lang International Corporate Titan Awards (LICTA) 2020. These achievements elevate AAT, making it among the best MRO companies in the Asia-Pacific region.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
