Asia Pulp & Paper is best in Pulp & Paper making at Asian Export Awards 2020

The industry leader has launched Signature, a brand of high-quality paper sourced from sustainable material.

Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) Sinarmas, is well-positioned to meet the growing demand worldwide for pulp, tissue, packaging and paper. The manufacturing group based in Indonesia and China, has an annual combined capacity of over 20 million tons. As a market leader, APP innovates sustainably and responsibly for the benefit of its customers, employees, shareholders, and host communities.

Its launch of Signature, a premium range of copier paper characterised by high smoothness, high thickness and stiffness, and high brightness and whiteness, has earned for the company a trophy in the Pulp & Paper category, Large Corporate division of the Asian Export Awards 2020.

Signature is a high-quality product that is useful in various reports, theses, résumés, portfolios, brochures, and other professionally printed documents. Equipped with the new TrueTone technology, Signature has a high performance and print quality evident in its excellent water fastness and fade resistance, high colour gamut without bleeding, higher ink holdout, and fast ink drying. Uniform ink absorption, colour brilliance, and print clarity are due to the high smooth surface at minimum of bekk 40 sec/10 ml. The product is available at 80 GSM with A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) and A3 (297 mm x 420 mm) sizes.

With Signature, APP has racked up the following achievements: optimising the paper product for digital printing with its new TrueTone technology and surface with whiteness of CIE 165%, thereby allowing sharp images in true colours with maximum print contrast. ensuring high thickness at 110 μ, providing confidence to users who are holding a thicker sheet in hand and also ensuring jam-free performance on printing machines, making it suitable for two-side printing; and sourcing the pulp from 100% sustainable plantation wood to minimise the environmental impact and sustain the company’s tradition of manufacturing wood-free paper for more than 30 years.

Signature users are satisfied with the product. “I [have worked] in the ad industry for over 10 years and never seen a flawless product like Paperline Signature. This paper’s whiteness and sharp colour contrast is far superior to others and makes it ideal for our industry. I would simply recommend Paperline Signature to everyone who would like to leave a mark!,” said Shinhua Peng, President/Lead Designer at YaZhou Co. in Taiwan.

Sunil Solanki, Sales Director of OKI General Trading LLC in Dubai (selling in Africa), says: “We have a lot of law firms as our clients. As law firms pride themselves on first-class service and quality, we have to be very careful while offering the right paper to them as every choice they make reflects their image. It’s clear that Paperline Signature has a quality that stands out in contrast to other brands of copy paper in the market. Now, our firm only recommends Paperline Signature for printing all [our clients’] important documents.”

With this innovation, APP pursues its mission of increasing market share globally, applying cutting-edge technology in product development and achievement of mill efficiency, improving the quality of human resources through training and culture building, and realising the firm’s commitment to sustainability in all aspects of business operation.
