Denyo United Machinery Pte Ltd clinches Designed in Singapore Award for Energy & Power

Their specially designed application can control and monitor multiple Denyo generators through a personal device; which reduces manpower and cuts down generator downtime and delay for ongoing project schedules.

Singapore Business Review acknowledged the most innovative products that have been established as industry game-changers during the recently concluded Made in Singapore Awards and Designed in Singapore Awards 2018.

Back on its second year to merit outstanding products manufactured and conceptualised in the country, this year's awards programme recognised companies who brought pride to Singaporean innovation and workmanship.

Denyo United Machinery Pte Ltd won the Designed in Singapore Award for the energy and power category.

Denyo is a leading producer of engine-driven generators and welders. They also provide engine and motor-driven compressors as well as supporting equipment and accessories for these
products.

Now on their 70th year in the industry, the company has gone a long way since producing its first engine-driven generator in 1961 in Japan. It remains highly valued across the country as it
continues to provide environmentally-friendly and fuel-efficient power generation to the market.

It is also respected throughout the world, thanks to its active contribution to the fields of disaster damage prevention, broadcasting and communication as well as the manufacturing sector.

Smart generators of the future
The company was lauded for the creation of an application that can now easily and remotely control and monitor Denyo generators. The Denyo application eliminates the need to manually record all necessary data and file hard copies on a daily basis, as all essential data for good generator performance is now easily accessible by logging in the app and downloading the data.

Moreover, it has a live remote monitoring function which shows a live view of generator performance, removing the need to visit and check on each generator one by one. All data is securely stored in the server via a cloud system, which will be permanently kept for future reference.

Available in the Google Play store, the app makes use of an internal communication message channel that allows users to communicate with each other through a unique hashtag function.

This makes way for a stronger communication level within the team, as important messages can be sent across the right person without the need to remember a lengthy email address. This minimizes time and effort and reduces communication breakdown, which can cause project delay.

Additionally, the app comes with an organization chart function, which further enhances internal communication.

The Denyo app is also equipped with a smart alarm assigning function, which acts as a unique job assignment feature. Alarm investigation can now be delegated easily to a relevant team member who will receive a detailed notification of the alarm, the team member can then log in to the system and investigate all the recorded monitoring values accordingly.

Together with the built-in camera function, the operator is also allowed to take photos of all relevant activities revolving on the generators and safely store it in the Denyo server whilst all other team members can get a live update once servicing activity is complete.

In case there is a need to review the same servicing information, users only need to click a few buttons and all information will be shown with detailed description.

Besides servicing, the app also has a Calendar tab that contains complete information regarding the activities of all the generators.

Commitment to excellence
Established since 1948, and with usage in over 130 countries worldwide, Denyo has committed to provide a superior range of equipment that can rise up to any challenging situation, and a comprehensive parts inventory, fully supported by a highly skilled technical/service team.

Denyo provides an end-to-end user experience, starting at pre-sales and covering the full spectrum of processes - including consultation, project management, commissioning, service and maintenance, knowledge transfer and training, as well as parts replacement - to deliver a total solution that gives clients more operational uptime, more cost savings, and more revenue returns.
