Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Ltd wins SBR International Business Awards for Financial Services

The company provided financial relief to policyholders through the #goCare campaign.

Tokio Marine Life Insurance Singapore Ltd (TMLS) bagged the Financial Services Award during the recently concluded Singapore Business Review’s International Business Awards 2020, thanks to their #goCare campaign launch this year.

As the pandemic continues to touch almost every aspect of day-to-day lives, TMLS embraced and exemplified the company’s positive values through heartfelt actions.

With the commitment to care for customers, employees and stakeholders, as well as proactively support vulnerable communities and frontline heroes, the company launched the #goCare campaign on 31 January.

TMLS is the first life insurer in Singapore to provide financial relief to its policyholders in the fight against COVID-19 through the #goCare campaign. To date, the insurance company has provided 24 policyholders with a lump sum financial assistance benefit of $5,000.

One of the policyholders, Miss Zhou said she is immensely thankful for her financial representative’s initiative and reactiveness in sharing his concern about her health, and for informing her about her eligibility for #goCare financial relief.

“This lump sum financial assistance benefit gives me substantial relief to cover my expenses since I have taken no-pay leave to recover well,” she added.

The second wave of #goCare initiatives reaffirms the company’s mission in making every effort to create a positive impact on the society. As a progression of #goCare campaign, the two-prong corporate social responsibility initiatives has extended care for the community and also demonstrated support for the healthcare heroes braving the frontlines.

The management team, staff, and financial representatives contributed to assemble 1,000 #goCare kits which were distributed to the elderly and the needy via Asian Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA), as well as to its own staff and agency force.

To bring cheer and show appreciation to the dedicated medical professionals safeguarding Singaporeans’ health, TMLS also delivered 2,000 snack boxes to Sengkang General Hospital, Singapore General Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, as well as Changi General Hospital.

Furthermore, TMLS has extended further support to policyholders through #goCare Deferred Premium Scheme as it offered a six months grace period extension. Currently, the company has received close to 800 premium deferment applications from policyholders who have been deeply impacted by COVID-19.

Being another innovative first in the industry, #go2gether Enhanced Protection offers 24 months additional coverage for free, with the aim to protect policyholders against the far-reaching financial impact of COVID-19.
