Globalization Partners launches APAC revenue team

Charles Ferguson was appointed as the general manager in the region.

HR solutions firm Globalization Partners has launched its new Asia Pacific revenue team and has appointed Charles Ferguson as the general manager in the region, according to an announcement.

This expansion comes on the back of the company’s US$150m funding round, and at a time of considerable demand for the company’s solution.

Globalization Partners enables companies to hire and retain team members in over 180 countries without the complexity of setting up international branch offices or subsidiaries through its platform, Privacy Shield which is certified for HR Data and has assisted companies to go global.

The new Asia Pacific operations is said to support companies based in Asia who are looking to expand both within and outside the region. It will also support the company’s growing Asia Pacific customer base.

Globalization Partners founder and CEO Nicole Sahin notes that the region has presented a significant opportunity to take their solution into every market around the globe.

Meanwhile, Ferguson will be responsible for the scaling and efficiency of the Asia Pacific revenue-generation team, managing the company’s partner strategy and capturing the market need for Asian companies looking for a simple and easy way to go global. He will be reporting to the firm’s chief revenue officer, Diane Albano.

Ferguson was most recently group chief commercial officer for business expansion specialist Tricor Group where he was responsible for designing and executing the global sales, marketing, and product innovation strategy.

Prior to this role, Ferguson was president and general manager for the Asia Pacific region at ADP and also co-founded management consulting and advisory services firm ReedHamilton. Prior to that he held positions at SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, and Intel.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
