eCloudvalley and AWS form strategic collaboration to drive business growth, provide customer support

The companies aim to accelerate the delivery of cloud solutions to different businesses through their respective expertise.

Singapore’s technology sector continues to prosper, and the country continues to thrive for many multinational companies and startups alike. Its focus on strengthening its tech infrastructure and integrating it into almost every aspect of the country has shown remarkable results in terms of business.
This has presented a huge potential market for global cloud solutions provider eCloudvalley to tap into.

Founded in 2013 in Taipei, Taiwan, eCloudvalley assists other organisations in navigating the complexities of cloud adoption and in their ventures towards digital transformation. Banking on the strength of over 800 people across 10 different countries in Asia and 10 different solutions teams, the company is always developing new customised solutions to meet the specific demands of the market.

For the last five years, the company has been in a rapid expansion mode as it invests in seven new regions and has a team of over 300 talents.
“As Singapore is home to many regional headquarters of multinational companies, this presents a huge potential market for us to tap on,” said eCloudvalley Country Manager for Singapore, Alvin Fong. “We can leverage our presence across countries to provide comprehensive support coverage to customers. There are quarterly events happening across regions that we are organizing to keep the market informed of our latest services.”

Accelerating cloud solutions delivery

In continuing these efforts, eCloudvalley has also formed a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with IT service management company Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Under the SCA, both parties aim to accelerate the delivery of cloud solutions to startups, small and medium businesses, and enterprises by combining AWS's global training resources and eCloudvalley’s local cloud expertise. It also seeks to enable eCloudvalley to set up a new innovation lab with AWS, with a focus on launching new services about ESG, data analytics, and cloud security to meet industry demands.

“To meet the digitalisation needs of customers, eCloudvalley plans to further expand its Migration and Modernisation Practice and provide differentiated services to build, migrate, manage, operate, and optimise customers' AWS infrastructure and applications,” Fong said.
The SCA supports eCloudvalley to develop a vertical specialisation in financial services, manufacturing, and retail. The agreement also allows it to further expand its global footprint from its current presence of 10 offices worldwide.

Moreover, this agreement will be utilised by eCloudvalley as it aims to expand to Australia and the United Arab Emirates to help its customers accelerate digital transformation.

Forged partnerships at play

Since starting its collaboration with AWS in 2014 and becoming an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner in 2017, eCloudvalley has become a comprehensive digital technology provider, offering solutions to more than 5,000 businesses across the globe.

The company remains a committed partner of AWS, demonstrating its strong cloud capabilities and dedication to its customers across the region. This has been manifested in its assistance to one of the largest media companies in Singapore, as it was looking to migrate its SAP HANA applications to AWS due to the high cost of maintenance on-premises.

This project was particularly challenging due to the complexity of the applications as well as the number of stakeholders involved in the migration. With critical applications running around the clock, eCloudvalley planned the migration and even sought to minimise the impact on users.
“Overall, the customer was pleased with our services, and they were able to save costs on their IT expenditure in the long run after migrating to AWS,” Fong said.

The partnership between eCloudvalley and AWS has also allowed its clients to address industry challenges, drive business growth, and develop the necessary talent to meet industry demands. It has also paved the way for many global businesses to embark on their respective digital transformations.

William Ng, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Uparcel, praises eCloudvalley's impact, stating, "eCloudvalley’s expertise and quarterly reviews have strengthened our cloud infrastructure and enabled us to be more confident in deploying on AWS.” He further added that eCloudvalley has provided valuable advice to explore more areas for cost savings on its infrastructure.

Vincent Tay, the CTO of Novitee Pte Ltd., meanwhile underscored eCloudvalley's role as a trusted partner of AWS. He acknowledged their detailed roadmap for the migration journey and praised their adept understanding, as well as the timely support received throughout the project.

"eCloudvalley is a trusted partner of AWS and was able to provide a detailed roadmap of our migration journey. eCloudvalley demonstrated a good understanding of their knowledge and recommended the right AWS services for the project, along with prompt support during the journey to help ensure the success of the entire project,” Tay added.

As eCloudvalley embarks on its journey towards a decade of excellence in the industry, the strategic collaboration with AWS marks a significant milestone in its commitment to driving digital transformation initiatives.

With a decade of trust and collaboration as an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, this partnership is poised to empower startups, SMBs, and enterprises, enabling them to swiftly embrace cloud technology to tackle industry challenges, scale operations, and foster business growth. The envisioned innovation lab, coupled with a focus on ESG, data analytics, and cloud security, reflects eCloudvalley's dedication to staying at the forefront of technological advancements. With the company's impressive track record of assisting businesses, it becomes evident that this collaboration is not just about forging partnerships but creating transformative experiences.

With a customer-centric mindset and a vision for the future, eCloudvalley is poised to continue shaping the digital landscape for years to come, fostering growth, and meeting the evolving demands of industries worldwide.
