Capital Square office brings Etiqa’s brand values to life

The headquarters features open spaces that encourage interaction.

Etiqa Insurance Singapore has opened an office at Capital Square that visually and functionally reflects the company’s core values of protection, continuity, and customer-centricity.

The office features design elements such as sphere-shaped lighting and circular planters, which symbolize warmth and the company’s role as a guardian of its clients’ future.

“The lighting shaped as warm spheres near the Level 1 staff entrance represents the concept of protection, much like a nest egg,” Shirley Tan, chief marketing officer at Etiqa Insurance Singapore, told Singapore Business Review.

Circular motifs continue throughout the office, including on Level 2, reinforcing the company’s promise of being “with you,” she added.

Levels 1 and 2 serve as the primary workspaces for Etiqa’s teams, with the first level also housing the customer care centre. Its ground-floor location was a deliberate choice to enhance visibility and accessibility for clients.

“The ground-floor presence of our customer care centre directly reflects our commitment to accessibility and customer-centricity,” Tan said in an emailed reply to questions.

The office is more than just a workplace; it’s a physical embodiment of Etiqa’s brand identity and internal culture. “The design is a strategic tool to bring our core principles to life.”

Etiqa’s workplace culture emphasizes transparency, teamwork, and agility. To support this, the office features open, collaborative spaces that encourage cross-functional interaction.

“Employees appreciate the open spaces which support cross-functional teamwork, encouraging them to brainstorm, collaborate casually, and strengthen connections,” Tan said.

Breakout zones and flexible workstation layouts further support creative thinking and adaptability. On the ninth floor, meeting rooms are equipped with collapsible walls, allowing the space to be reconfigured for town halls and corporate events.

“This adaptable design maximises space while fostering collaboration and engagement among Etiqa’s employees, encouraging a dynamic flow of ideas,” she added.

The Capital Square office now houses Etiqa’s full Singapore team, including operations, distribution, customer service, and digital innovation units.

“Ultimately, the new space at Capital Square is not just a place to work, but a meeting point for the hearts and minds of customers and our staff,” Tan said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
