Take a tour around Mead Johnson Nutrition’s headquarters at MBFC Tower 3

See how the office design creatively reflects the concept “water as life”.

Mead Johnson Nutrition recently opened its new Asia-Pacific headquarters at Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 3. Tim Brown, Senior Vice President and General Manager of South Asia, said, "The launch of the regional office in Singapore marks a new level of connection and engagement with Asia, which is crucial as we further expand our business in the region.”

Workplace design firm M Moser noted that the key to the design concept was to connect with Mead Johnson’s mission to nourish the world’s children for the best start in life. The concept of “water” was chosen to symbolise the strong link between nature and life.

Here’s how project director Nirmala Srinivasa describes the design concept and features:

The Singapore office design reflects "water as life." Natural living elements, greenery, timber, natural stone, river motifs, a flowing sculpture wall, and photos of children interacting with water in their everyday lives have been thoughtfully incorporated into the workspaces to express alignment with the concept. Standing at the heart of the design is a sculpture displaying a mother’s bond to her child.

The entire office is designed as to be as flowing as possible. There are no right angles in the office partitions and meeting rooms – with curved glass, curved softened corner edges, and a reception counter with 3-D curves – which also reflect the infinity curve suggested by the MJN logo.

Ergonomics and flexibility were also key design considerations, with office seating that is soft, comfortable and portable, as well as double-glazed operable walls that can be opened to reconfigure space for project teams and special events, like town hall meetings.

The waiting and breakout areas have an “outdoor” feel, as they overlook the MBS, and a miniature Zen garden in the reception area is welcoming for visitors. The sense of water flowing and aquatic life permeates the space, and the curves are reminiscent of a mother’s embrace, arms encircling and providing her child with safety, comfort and nurturing.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
