Chart of the Day: Check out the priciest shophouse deals in 2019

The most expensive deal has an area of 6,262 sqft and was sold for $8,623 psf.

This chart from Knight Frank shows the priciest shophouse deals in 2019, led by the sale of Eu Yan Sang Building by Eu Realty to 8M Real Estate for $54m or $8,623 psf.

The land area of the four shophouses combined is about 6,262 sqft and the gross floor area (GFA) added up to 19,885 sqft. Whilst the tenure for the four shophouses is a 999-years leasehold, the sale to 8M Real Estate is on a 199-year leasehold land tenure.

The shophouses at 37/39/41/43 Tanjong Pagar Road took second place at $53.5m for $8,260 sqft. It has about 6,480 sqft of space.

Rounding up the list are shophouses at 2 Cavan Road at $38.7m, 38 Sultan Gate at $35.5m and 39/45 Boat Quay at $32.2m.
