Mapletree to build 33-storey commercial tower at HarbourFront
The redevelopment is expected to be completed by 2031
Mapletree Investments will redevelop HarbourFront Centre into a 33-storey mixed-use commercial tower, adding new office and retail capacity to the Greater Southern Waterfront (GSW).
Construction will start following the closure of HarbourFront Centre in the second half of 2026 and finish in the first half of 2031.
The project will deliver 123,000 square metres of gross floor area, including 26 floors of Grade A offices and five levels of retail space. Mapletree said office floors will feature flexible, column-free layouts and full-height glazing, while retail floors will focus on lifestyle and dining.
The building will target BCA Green Mark 2021 Platinum and LEED Platinum ratings through solar panels, water-efficient landscaping, and smart lighting systems.
The project continues Mapletree’s redevelopment of the 24-hectare HarbourFront Precinct and expands commercial capacity within the GSW. CEO Hiew Yoon Khong said the redevelopment will optimise an existing asset and extend the precinct’s commercial potential.
