Gov‘t rolls out 2024 CDC vouchers

This marks the fourth tranche of the CDC vouchers.

Financial Secretary Lawrence Wong announced the launch of the 2024 CDC vouchers, marking its fourth tranche since 2021.

The value of the CDC vouchers this year has been increased to $500 from $300 last year. In 2021 and 2022, the vouchers were worth $100.

The vouchers will be split into two equal parts with the $250 to be used in participating heartland shops, merchants, and hawkers, and the other in participating supermarkets.

The number of participating merchants and hawkers have doubled to 23,000 from 11,000 in the program’s inception in 2021. 8 supermarket chains, with a shared total of 415 outlets, are also included.

The vouchers aid Singaporean’s financial needs amidst high inflation and geopolitical uncertainties

In 2023, 97% of the vouchers rolled out have been spent.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
