Gov’t sends Finance Minister Wong to attend G20 Meeting

The G20 meeting will be held in Venice, Italy from 9 to 11 July.

Minister of Finance Lawrence Wong will represent Singapore for several G20 events to be held in Venice, Italy from 9 to 11 July.

He, with other Ministry of Finance officials, shall attend the G20 High-Level Tax Symposium, the Third Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting (FMCBG), and the International Conference on Climate Change.

Domestic tax reforms and enhanced international cooperation on common climate targets are among the expected topics for the tax symposium. The FMCBG will discuss international taxation and the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on Base Erosion and Profit Sharing.

Italy is currently the president of G20 for 2021.
