Lower, middle-income residents to receive GST, CDC vouchers in early 2023

About 950,000 HDB flats residents will get vouchers in January and February 2023.

To mitigate GST and growing living costs, lower to middle-income households living in HDB flats will receive GST vouchers, and u-save and service and conservancy charges (S&CC) rebates in January 2023.

Ministry of Finance announced that over 950,000 households will receive GSTV to S&CC rebates to offset between 1.5 and 3.5 months of their S&CC each year.

Aside from the rebates and vouchers, eligible households will receive more benefits from January to February 2023.

This includes a total of $300 community development council (CDC) vouchers, composed of $200 CDC vouchers under the AP and $100 CDC vouchers from the $1.5b support package which was revealed in October 2022. Households will receive the benefit on 3 January.

Next month, lower-income seniors aged 55 years and above will get up to $300 cash, under the GSTV – cash.

Also, in February 2023, qualified seniors aged 55 years and above, and children aged 20 years and below will receive $150 in their CPF medisave account under the AP MediSave.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
