MTI appoints Jermaine Loy as new managing director of EDB

He will take over starting 1 March 2025.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) has appointed Jermaine Loy as the new managing director-designate of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) effective 1 January 2025.

Before joining the Prime Minister’s Office in 2021, Loy was senior director of the Strategic Planning Division at the Ministry of National Development from 2017 to 2021.

He oversaw planning and policies relating to land-use needs, held various positions at the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and served on the Board of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.

He will succeed Jacqueline Poh who will be appointed as Deputy Secretary of MTI starting 1 March 2025 coinciding with his take over as MD of EDB.
