Singapore, Vietnam deepen ties in sustainability, innovation and digitalisation

The countries agreed to partner in infrastructure and manufacturing amongst others.

Singapore and Vietnam deepened their collaboration in sustainability, innovation, and digitalisation in the recent Business Roundtable and Sustainabillity Showcase.

“Singapore and Vietnam are close economic partners and 2023 will be a key milestone year as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Singapore-Vietnam bilateral relations and 10th anniversary of strategic partnership,” Lim Ming Yan, Chairman of Singapore Business Federation (SBF), said.

“SBF looks forward to boosting business exchanges and collaboration between Singapore and Vietnam businesses and we are planning to bring our flagship event, the Singapore Regional Business Forum to Vietnam next year as part of the celebrations of the milestone year.”

The event, organised by the SBF, was attended by 100 participants from the public and private sectors.

Since its launch, the programme has facilitated 183 projects and provided more than 6,400 advisories to Singapore businesses overseas.

Of this, more than 35 were concluded in Vietnam, whilst nearly 270 Singapore firms were assisted by the SBF’s advisory group in exploring the Vietnam market.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
