Private sector dominates 66% of grid solar capacity

Private installations reached 1,273 MWp in Q3 2025.

The private sector accounted for the largest share of Singapore’s grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) installed capacity in the third quarter of 2025 (Q3 2025), contributing 1,273 megawatt-peak (MWp), or 66% of total capacity.

Town Councils and public housing common services followed with 436 MWp (23%), according to an Energy Market Authority report.

Meanwhile, public service agencies and residential installations contributed 117 MWp (6%) and 105 MWp (6%), respectively, 

Overall installed capacity of grid-connected PV systems stood at 1,932 MWp as of Q3 2025, up 6% from the previous quarter.
