S’poreans favour ethical AI use in financial advising: report

Nearly 3 in 4 agree that financial advisors should be allowed to use AI.

 

Singaporeans are getting comfortable with financial advisors using artificial intelligence (AI), MDRT reported.

According to the report, nearly three in four (72%) Singaporeans agree that financial advisors should be allowed to use AI, and 67% trust those who do. 

Most Singaporeans (87%) also trust their advisors to use AI ethically whilst 88% of Singaporeans want to be informed when AI is used. Those currently working with financial advisors say this disclosure has been made.

In addition, 84% say that the use of AI in financial advising should be strictly regulated.
