COTD: Singaporeans plan to eat more fish, cut red meat consumption: report

Singaporeans plan to eat less lamb, goat, mutton, and beef.

According to the Good Food Institute (GFI) APAC, 31% of Singapore consumers intend to eat more fish in the upcoming year.

Meanwhile, Singaporeans are inclined to consume less red meat, with 28% planning to eat less lamb, goat, mutton, and beef, and 22% planning to reduce their pork consumption.

Compared to other APAC countries, Singaporeans had the highest percentage of consumer planning to maintain their chicken consumption, at 62%.

In terms of seafood consumption, Singaporeans are amongst the APAC countries with a high number of consumers planning to maintain their seafood intake at 55%, along with Malaysia, following Thailand at 57%.
