ThaiBev to lead beer industry by 2020

Its current beer market share increased to 40%.

DBS Equity Research reported that Thai Beverage Public Company (ThaiBev) aims to increase its beer market share to 45% by 2020 as it targets to achieve the lead company in the industry.

According to DBS Research, ThaiBev’s beer market share increased to 40% at present since the relaunch of Chang Beer.

“Within a year of Chang’s relaunch, it had gained 10% points, faster than expectations. Going forward, we project continued increase, driven by consistent and targeted marketing activities, and leveraging its widespread distribution,” DBS Research said.

Further, ThaiBev’s beer volume growth is expected to increase from -5.3% last year to 5% to 6% by 2019.

Singapore Business Review also previously reported that ThaiBev’s profits decreased by 60.98% to $126.9m during the first quarter this year.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.
The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.
If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
