Prudential ties up with telemedicine firm MyDoc to launch digital health app

Pulse will provide health tools and consultations for 11 markets in Asia.

Insurer Prudential Corporation Asia has forged a partnership with telemedicine provider MyDoc to launch Pulse, a digital health application in 11 markets in Asia.

According to a press release, the app will integrate MyDoc's services, offering self-help health and wellness tools, a symptom checker powered by AI, as well as video consultation with a doctor and an option to book a face-to-face appointment.

The selected panel of doctors were all required to have at least three years of private practice experience and clinical and product training, and must pass test consultations.

Some markets may also offer electronic prescriptions, medical certificates and records, and medicine delivery as additional service.

The app will be supported by partners including symptom checker and health assessment provider Babylon Health, digital wellness services Tictrac, digital healthcare platform Halodoc, online medical clinic DoctorOnCall, dengue tracker AIME, and e-wallet Boost.
