Cordlife renews licenses for one year

The group was instructed by the MOH to conduct operations in a controlled manner.

Cord blood bank group Cordlife Group has announced that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has renewed its cord blood banking service and human tissue banking service licenses for a period of one year effective 14 January 2025.

On 15 December 2023, MOH directed Cordlife to stop the collection, testing, processing and/or storage of any new cord blood for a period of six months. This was extended by an additional three months on 15 June 2024 for Cordlife to complete the validation of its new cord blood processing method

On 29 August 2024, Cordlife was allowed to resume cord blood banking services in a controlled manner.

The company said it is committed to meeting all applicable regulatory requirements and compliance measures, before considering the full resumption of operations in Singapore. It also said it is unable to assess the financial impact on the financial performance of the group for the financial year ending 31 December 2025.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
