Guess which firms will reap big time gains from Singapore's healthcare reforms

Big winners from private healthcare sector.

According to Maybank Kim Eng, Prime Minister Lee’s healthcare measures in his recent National day rally speech are supportive of its positive view on the private healthcare sector.

Maybank noted that Raffles Medical and IHH are the winners of such measures.

Here's more:

The increased ability of patients to pay for healthcare services will benefit Raffles Medical and IHH, which are the largest private healthcare providers in Singapore.

Other than hospitals, they are also expected to benefit from the CHAS reform, with their extensive clinic networks in Singapore, which contributes around 35% and 10% of their total revenue respectively.

Raffles Medical has registered 40 out of its 44 GP clinics and IHH has registered 27 out of its 34 GP clinics as CHAS panel clinics (550 clinics have registered so far).

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
